För sjunde året i rad bjuder vi in till Feministiskt Byggläger i Västerbotten!
I många år har vi hållit till på olika gårdar i närheten av Umeå för att genom olika workshops prova på att timra, bygga tak, svetsa, tälja, klyva ved, mura, meka, pyssla, snickra och mycket annat!
Under sommarens läger fortsätter vi att prova, lära och skapa tillsammans oavsett kunskapsnivå och tidigare erfarenhet.
Precis som tidigare år kommer lägret att vara öppet för kvinnor och transpersoner över 15 år. Lägret kommer att vara veganskt, drogfritt och alkoholfritt.
VAR: Utanför Umeå
NÄR: 8-12 juli (onsdag-söndag)
Vi önskar att alla deltagare kan vara med alla dagar.
Lägret börjar 17:00 den 8/7 och slutar ca 15:00 den 12/7.
BOENDE: Utomhus i tält. Har du inget tält, hör av dig så kan vi försöka lösa det. Det finns begränsad möjlighet att sova inomhus. Har du behov av det, kontakta oss så försöker vi lösa det på ett säkert sätt.
TRANSPORT: Samåkning till lägret från busshållplats och tågstation kan erbjudas, mer detaljer kommer till de som får en plats på lägret. I övrigt är det upp till var och en att ordna transport till och från Umeå.
SPRÅK: Workshopsen kommer att vara främst på svenska.
KOSTNAD: För att så många som möjligt ska ha råd så har vi en rörlig deltagaravgift. Du kan betala mellan 200-1000kr.
Har du inte råd med avgiften kan du höra av dig till oss så löser vi det!

Anmälan är öppen till den 7e juni. Därefter meddelar vi de som får en plats, du har då 5 dagar på dig att bekräfta din plats. Vi kommer främst** att lotta bland de som anmält sig och kommer att ge de som inte varit på byggläger tidigare förtur till en majoritet av platserna.
Bjud in alla dina byggpeppade vänner (kvinnor och transpersoner) så ses vi i sommar!
** Med anledning av årets omständigheter med Covid19-pandemin: Det finns, som vi alla i nuläget vet, alltid en risk att saker ställs in. Det gäller även Feministiskt byggläger. För att undvika att ställa in helt och hållet kan vi komma att göra några ändringar i vår planering; t ex dra ner på antalet deltagare eller att enbart acceptera deltagare som redan bor i Umeå/Västerbotten. Vi kommer förstås att uppdatera löpande om detta. Om eventet skulle ställas in helt så får alla tillbaka sina inbetalda deltagaravgifter. Är du sjuk MÅSTE du ju stanna hemma, även då får du tillbaka din deltagaravgift!
Vi kommer göra det vi kan för att minimera riskerna för smittspridning.

For the seventh year in a row we welcome you to Feminist Construction Camp in Västerbotten!
Previous years we have set up camp on different farms close to Umeå to learn how to carpenter, to construct, to renovate, to weld, to craft, to chop wood, to brick, to fix your car and lots and lots of other things! This year we have the opportunity to keep the tradition going and to try, learn and create together regardless of level of knowledge and earlier experience.
As usual the camp is for women and trans people over the age of 15. The camp is free from drugs and alcohol and all food will be vegan.
WHERE: Close to Umeå
WHEN: 8-12 july (wednesday-sunday). We wish that all participants are able to be there all of the days. We will begin 17:00 (5pm) on the 8th and end around 15:00 (3pm) on the 12th.
ACCOMODATION: We will sleep outside in tents. If you don’t have a tent of your own, get in touch with us and we will try to solve it. There is limited space to sleep indoors, if you are in need of this please contact us and we will try to solve it in a safe way.
TRANSPORTATION: Carpooling to the camp from bus station and train station will be possible, more details about that will be sent to the participants. Other than that, you are responsible for travelling to and from Umeå if you live somewhere else.
LANGUAGE: The workshops will be mainly in swedish.
COST: To make sure that more people will be able to attend we are flexible with the cost for the camp. You can pay anything between 200-1000 SEK. If it is difficult for you to pay that amount just contact us and we will find a solution.

The application is open until june 7th. After that we will send an email to the ones who will get to participate, and you will have 5 days to verify your spot. We will mainly** draw lots amongst the applications, and make sure that people who haven’t been to a camp before get priority to a majority of the available spots.

** In light of this year’s conditions with the Covid-19 pandemic: Right now there is a big risk of events being cancelled. This goes for Feminist Construction Camp as well. To try to avoid cancelling the whole camp, we may have to make some changes in the laying-out of the camp. Such as lower the amount of participants or only accept participants who live in Umeå/Västerbotten. We will keep you updated about all of this. In the case of camp being cancelled, everyone will get a full refund of their payment. If you are ill you MUST stay at home, in that case you will also get a full refund.
At camp, we will do everything we can to avoid spreading of infection.
